According to the Times of Israel, Netanyahu’s proposal states that the war in Gaza will continue until the elimination of the military capabilities of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, the return of all hostages, and other goals are not achieved.
After the war, Gaza will be run by ‘local officials’. Countries and groups that allegedly support terrorism will have nothing to do with them. The plan does not make clear whether the Palestinian Authority (PA) will be included.
It also said Israel would conduct a program to eliminate “so-called radicalization” in all religious, educational and social institutions. Arab countries will join it. Gaza will be completely demilitarized. Even the number of weapons required for security purposes will not be kept. Israel will allow the reconstruction of Gaza to begin only after the demilitarization and de-radicalization process is complete.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s proposal also states that the Israeli army will have the right to attack Gaza at any time to prevent the emergence of any kind of armed group. The creation of the security zone in the Gaza Strip will continue. As long as this zone is required; Until then it will be.
According to the proposal, Israel will have full control over the land, air and sea of the western part of Jordan so that no attack can be carried out from the occupied West Bank.
However, Palestine has rejected the plan that the Prime Minister of Israel has put forward for the future of the Gaza Strip. According to the Palestinian president’s office, Netanyahu’s proposal will continue the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories and it will not be possible to establish an independent Palestinian state.
Palestinian President’s office spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeinah said that Gaza will remain part of the independent Palestinian state. Its capital will be Jerusalem. Besides, any other plan will fail. Beyond this, any Israeli attempt at geological modification will not succeed in practice.
Abu Rudeinah also said that if we want security and stability in the region, the Israeli attacks must stop and the world must recognize the independent Palestinian state.
